Axial Averaging Extensometer for Compressing Large Specimens 3542RA

Edit Content

1. Introduction:
Designed primarily for testing the compressive strength of rock, concrete and other large specimens, this model measures axial strain on opposite sides of a test specimen and the output value is the average of the two readings. Extensometers are available for order with a base length from 25 to 200 mm and measuring ranges from 1.2 to 6 mm.
All models are self-supporting and easy to mount on the specimen. The standard modification of this model allows you to test samples from 50 mm to 150 mm. The 3542RA extensometers are designed to withstand high volume daily testing. The tapered point contacts included with the extensometer are made of tungsten carbide.
Model 3542RA extensometers are strain gauge devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gauge transducers.
